Founded in 1966, the National Association of Counties brings together government communicators from counties and state associations across the country. We provide networking and learning opportunities for those tasked with creating, maintaining, and managing public communications for the people’s closest form of government.

Gearing up for 2023!

As government communicators, we know the beginning of the year is a busy time. With the legislative season getting underway, many of us are tasked with finding new and interesting ways to communicate issues, policies, news and updates with our residents.

If you are new to county government or state association public communication, we invite you to join our group, which is made up of the best government public communicators in the country! And if you’ve been in the public communication game for a while, but haven’t joined NACIO, please accept our invitation to do so. We believe together, we make each other stronger, which in turn benefits our organizations and our communities. Our members represent counties, large and small, across the country and are writers, graphic designers, social media managers and more!
