Texas Christian University offers the only Certified Public Communicator® program in the United States for government communicators like yourself! The CPC Program at TCU offers leadership training and rigorous post-baccalaureate education for public information managers and communication professionals working for cities, counties, school districts, and other public-sector, non-partisan agencies and organizations. The program focuses on the complexities, challenges, and importance of public communication to residents and other stakeholders.
NACIO is a partner of this program. Learn more about this course from county communicators who have attended and created strategic communications plans for their organizations through attending CPC.
In addition, NACIO offers one scholarship per year to a NACIO member to cover half the cost. The 95-hour program in summer 2025 – including tuition, some meals, and course materials is $3,750. This event is open to everyone at no cost, but you need to be a member to apply for the scholarship.
