Please join us for 30 minutes on the third Thursday of the month to share ideas, thoughts, tips and tricks regarding the work we do as county communicators. This NACIO member-only meeting is designed to facilitate networking, information sharing and peer support for employees of counties and county associations tasked with media relations, community engagement, and overall public information.
Topic: Pocket PIO guide – We may share similar titles, all involving county communications, but we know our job responsibilities can vary from agency to agency and county to county. Whiles some are seasoned in emergency communications and working with their Office of Emergency Management, others may not have that opportunity but know they may be called upon to fill that role in an instance. Join us for a quick down and dirty discussion on the most important things to remember when communicating during an emergency event. Bring tips and experiences of your own as well.
